Steve Stavrakis was born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree in Theater Performance from the University of South Florida. He received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992. He has worked exclusively in the field of Personal Injury Law for the past 15 years.

In 1980, Steve retrieved the Epiphany Cross in the largest annual celebration of the baptism of Christ in the western hemisphere. In 2000, Steve wrote and produced The Cross, a full length feature film about the Epiphany celebration in Tarpon Springs. He is fluent in Greek and his hobbies include writing, and spending time with his two children.
