Matthew McMullen was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He moved to Colorado before High School, and received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Writing from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.
Meet Matthew L. McMullen
He moved back to Minnesota after receiving a full Presidential Scholarship to attend the University of Saint Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. He worked as a law clerk to in-house counsel to a large Minnesota company for all three years of law school and worked second jobs volunteering for a public defender’s office and a prosecutor’s office, gaining experience in the courtroom and advising clients on complex issues. Before graduation, Matthew was a certified student attorney working through the University of Saint Thomas’s Elder Law Clinic, representing clients in matters affecting the elderly and infirm.
After law school, Matthew worked in a general practice and later in a boutique litigation law firm which focused on complex litigation, including products liability, class actions, multi-party litigation, and cases involving serious trauma to the body and brain. Matthew genuinely cares about his clients, and he lets them know that by being as available as he can be when they need him most.
Outside of his law practice, Matthew enjoys skiing, hiking, Mexican food, and being a fair-weather fan of either the Broncos or the Vikings (whoever is doing better that year).
