Meet Peter L. Colasante
Peter Colasante spent his formative years working on his family’s homestead in Lochloosa Florida, a small unincorporated town on the outskirts of Alachua County. Prior to attending the University of Florida, Peter spent years honing his skills as a carpenter, foreman, and project manager at job-sites around the country. During that time, Peter guided construction on an array of projects including: Shands’ Hyperbaric Chamber; Gainesville Health and Fitness Center improvements; construction of a Planned Unit Development, Oak Ridge Phase 1, in High Springs, Florida.
In 2018, Peter attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, with Honors, and with an emphasis on Food and Agribusiness Marketing and Management. Peter then earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2021. Peter was drawn toward Stetson by its emphasis on trial advocacy and now he is proud to call St. Petersburg home. While earning his Juris Doctorate, Peter clerked for the Honorable Thomas M. Jaworski of the 8th Judicial Circuit, volunteered at Meals on Wheels for Kids, assisted in the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) grant program, attained his Florida Residential Contractors License, and his Pilot’s License.
Peter’s pastimes include caring for his autistic older brother, volunteering at Meals on Wheels, flying, spearfishing, assisting his friends in home improvement projects, and practicing his wilderness survival skills.
