Attorneys Tommy Roebig and Chad Florin have obtained a jury trial win for Florin Roebig client Jeff Ashline, who was injured when he was struck while driving on his way to work at 5:30 am in Tampa, Ybor City, Florida.
As Mr. Ashline proceeded into the intersection with a green light at 7th Avenue and 22nd Street, a Conex Corporation recycling truck came through the intersection and collided with Mr. Ashline’s vehicle (see the picture above showing the degree of damage to his vehicle). The Defendant claimed that Mr. Ashline ran the red light and denied all liability for the crash. Because the event happened at such an early hour, there were no eyewitnesses on the scene at the time of the accident.
After the trial, a Tampa Circuit Court Jury found the Conex Corporation 100% liable for the crash that injured Mr. Ashline. The damages to be paid by the Defendant for the proven liability have yet to be determined in a separate trial that will take place at a later time.
