A $41.9 million verdict obtained last year by Tommy Roebig, Wil Florin, and Shaun Cummings against restaurant giant Applebee’s has earned Florin Roebig the #42 spot on the list of the “Top 100 Verdicts for 2016″ published this morning by The National Law Journal. Released annually, the list provides a ranking based on amount of the 100 most exceptional jury-awarded verdicts recorded across the United States. The landmark case has already garnered attention in the past year as the largest contested jury verdict in the history of Hernando County and as the #3 verdict in Florida for 2016.
Significantly, Wil Florin and Tommy Roebig are the only lawyers from the State of Florida to have verdicts place in the top 50 slots of this national list for two (2) out of the past three (3) years. Wil and Tommy were also named to the list in 2014 after securing a $47.4 million verdict in a sexual battery case against a Tampa Bay area day spa. At #44 on the NLJ’s Top 100 list, that sizeable verdict remains the largest ever in Pasco County and was the #4 verdict in Florida for 2014.
This is the third time that Wil and Tommy have obtained one of the Top 4 verdicts in Florida having also placed a $15 million dollar verdict in 2004 involving a motorcycle crash.
