Florida Minimum Wage Increases!

On January 1, 2014, the minimum wage in Florida increased 14 cents.

The new minimum wage is $7.93. The new minimum wage for tipped employees is $4.91.

The increase is a result of a 2004 constitutional amendment that requires Florida to raise the minimum wage as inflation increases.

The minimum wage in 2013 was $7.79 and $4.77.
