Eric P. Czelusta was born in Lockport, New York, but he has lived much of his childhood and all of his adult life in the State of Florida. Eric earned his BA degree in 1995 from Florida Atlantic University graduating with a 4.0 grade point average. Eric P. Czelusta then went on to complete his schooling at the Florida State University where he earned his Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, in 1998. As a law student, Eric P. Czelusta participated in an internship with the State Attorney’s Office where he represented the State of Florida in several jury trials.
After graduating from law school, Eric continued his career with the State Attorney’s Office, first with the First Judicial Circuit in Pensacola, and later with the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in West Palm Beach. As a prosecutor, Eric tried over 50 jury trials to verdict in cases ranging from misdemeanors to very complex life felonies. Eric then spent the next several years of his career defending medical malpractice cases while gaining additional experience representing Plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death cases. Most recently, Eric was successful in obtaining a $2.6 million verdict in a wrongful death case that was tried in Fulton County, Georgia. Through this experience, Eric decided that he wanted to devote his practice full time to the representation of persons injured by the negligence and wrongdoing of others. Eric joined Florin Roebig in 2011, shortly thereafter securing a jury verdict in a medical malpractice case against a Largo doctor and clinic in the amount of $2.25 million.
Eric is one of very few Pinellas-Pasco lawyers to have obtained a contested multi million dollar jury verdict.
Eric has been admitted to practice by the Florida Bar since 1998, and he is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida. Eric has achieved an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating process.
Eric is married and has three young daughters.
